MARKS OF A GODLY MARRIAGE
A Message by Pastor Olawole Dahunsi

Text:
Colossians 3:16-21
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.”

 Ephesians 6:1-3
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”

Ephesians 5:21 “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

From the passages above, it suggest that not every marriage is a godly marriage. The home is where society starts from; the product of the home makes the society and so if the home is bad it reflects on the society. When the home is not right, it produces unrighteous people, and eventually the society becomes unrighteous. Every one of us is product of a home; if the home you are coming from is not a godly home, your life can never be godly.
One of the marks of an ungodly home is that they are not rightly married; they are just cohabiting but a godly home is a home where everything is based on Christ and sometimes when they realize that they have done wrong, they aspire to make things right. So every marriage has a foundation. When the foundation is not laid on Jesus Christ, the home will face a lot of problems.

The Marks of a Godly Marriage:
1. God is the head of that marriage: they fear and honor God in that marriage. They do everything to please God and the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and wisdom is the principal thing. So if any marriage is to succeed, there must be fear of God.
2. There is mutual respect and submission: when you see any man who is intimidating his subordinates, he is a failed man. So as the husband and father, when you start saying I am the husband or I am the father of this house, check well, you have failed somewhere. The husband respects the wife, and the wife respects the husband. There is nothing bad in saying let me ask my wife first, or my husband first before doing anything because the husband and wife are one.
3. Everything is done in the family to glorify God. I remember a sister who worked in Abuja. The husband was not well to do. Any little issue she will tell the man ‘give me the keys to my house, or leave my house’. It came to a point where the husband could not take it anymore, so he packed his properties and left. The woman ran to me complaining that the husband had left her. It is not right to torment your wife or husband with the little God has given to you.
4. It is a home where money does not rule the home: the wife and husband do not hide money from each other. Sometimes the wife will bring salary and say ‘daddy I have been paid’
5. The children are nurtured and trained in the way of God: you do not have to ask your children to greet you before they do so. I had an experience during the week; the father said my child is well trained. I said ok. I told the child, “When you get to where you are going, call me or text me”. Up till today I have not seen the text… It is our duty to train our children well.
6. There is intimacy among family members: they do not hide themselves from one another, they do not defraud one another and they know what each other want even without requests.
7. Everybody knows their responsibilities: I went to a home and was amazed at the kind of understanding they have; the wife ensures that there is food in the house regularly from her salary while the husband ensures that every other needs are met including the children’s school fees. The children attend one of the costliest private school and they are well taken care of by their father.
8. There is maturity and spirituality in the home: unfortunately we have so many baby husbands/wife now, when you are married over 10 years and you are still beating your wife, keeping malice with your wife, you are a baby husband.
9. There is forgiveness in that home.
10. There is good communication: they talk and discuss with one another.
11. There is love among the family members: they make a loving family
11. There is hospitality: they receive everybody and welcome everybody.
12. Both of them are committed: husband and wife want the marriage to succeed, so they commit themselves to the marriage.

Rules for a Successful Marriage:
1. Both of you should not be angry at the same time
2. Never shout at each other except there is fire outbreak
3. If one of you has to win an argument, it should be your partner. Keep quiet as the husband
4. If you have to criticize your partner, do so lovingly. Do not say negative things about your wife in the public
5. Never bring the mistakes of the past to the present
6. Neglect the whole world but do not neglect your partner: you can forsake every other thing but do not forsake you spouse.
7. Never go to sleep with an argument that is unsettled. Ensure you settle every quarrel or misunderstanding before going to bed.
8. At least once a day, say a kind word or pay a compliment to your partner.
9. When you are wrong admit it and ask for forgiveness
10. It takes two to fight, quarrel but do not try to impose your deficiency on your partner.

God’s desire is that we have a godly home, so if there is anything that is making our home not to be godly, we need to put it right.
Bow your heads, tell God today come into my home; come O Lord and rule my home, take charge of my family in Jesus name.

Prayer

Any power on assignment to scatter my home, die in the name of Jesus.

YOUR SERVICE, YOUR FELLOWSHIP AND YOUR HEAVEN
Message of Pastor Olawole Dahunsi

Text:
2 Timothy 2:19-21
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”
 Roman 12:1-2
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Psalm 101:2
“Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.”
Every Good Christian must regularly consider his/her service unto God and his/her fellowship with God. He or she must be able to ask himself or herself; after now, where else? He/she must also consider the following:
1.
a.      His/her service , the work you do for God
b.      His/her routine work for God. That is, your valuable actions performed for God
c.      What you performed for God and your daily schedule for God is your service for God
d.      That which you do so that the kingdom of God can increase
e.      What you do to improve the things of God.
2.      Your fellowship is your relationship with God.
a.      How well you know God
b.      How do you know Him?
c.      Is spending time with God sufficiently
d.      A friendly relationship between a man and his God is called fellowship.
e.      The fellowship you have with Trinity.
f.       To worship God and adore Him
g.      The ability not to do anything without God.
3.       Heaven is your destination after this world.
a.      Your service and fellowship determines your heaven or which heaven you go to.
Ø  There are two types of heaven; hell and paradise
Ø  There is a service you render to God that can be a sweet smelling savor or a filthy smelling savor.
Ø  There are services that are acceptable and unacceptable to God.
b.      Your fellowship and service as a good Christian is what will assist you to make heaven.
Conditions for our service and fellowship to be accepted:
1.      It must be done in an acceptable way according to Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
2.      You must be guided by the word as you offer your service to God and in your fellowship with God.
3.      You must learn to worship God in spirit. Therefore if you are not baptized in the Holy Ghost, your service and fellowship will still be having some hindrances or challenges.
4.      Your service to God must be done faithfully according to 1Corinthians 4:2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
Being faithful I mean:
·        You must be loyal to God
·        Being trustable/trust worthy
·        You must be dependable
·        You must be accountable
5.      Your service must be done in sincerity and truth according to the book of Joshua 24:14-15 “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
6.      It must be done with zeal and enthusiasm as seen in Psalms 69:7
7.      It must be done with a life that is worthy and blameless; you need to ask yourself this question everyday ‘what is the condition of my fellowship with God?
8.      It must be done with gladness of heart and joy.
9.      It must also be done in humility according to 1 Peter 5:5 “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble”
10.   You must serve God with love too; love God and everybody around you.
For our service to be acceptable to God, these are the assignment that Christians must pursue:
·        Regular life of worship
·        Regular life of prayer
·        Regular life of obedience to God and his word. One must have adequate knowledge of the word of God.
·        Regular giving for the propagation of God’s word. If you must go to heaven, you must render your personal services to God such as evangelism, give or sow into the work of God in order to propagate the gospel and populate the kingdom of God.
·        Displaying of quality of Christian lifestyle – our lives must be a magnet that draws men to God.
·        Regular quality service – whatever you are doing for God, do it with all your heart.

Brethren, our service and fellowship determine where we are going to and that is why you need to pursue your assignment on earth daily and examine yourself also.

Prayers
Holy Spirit of God, fill me with your power and fire in Jesus name.
Holy Spirit of God, ignite the fire of revival in my life in the name of Jesus
Spirit of lukewarmness, depart from my life in the name of Jesus.
Power of God, arise and move me forward in the name of Jesus.

THE UNIVERSITY OF THE TAIL
A Message by Dr. D. K Olukoya

Text: Deuteronomy 28:13
“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:”

The fact that the Bible says ‘head, tail, above and beneath’ means that those positions are available to be occupied by those who want to occupy them and these positions must be occupied by somebody. I have seen all kinds of things in life. I have seen somebody without a tongue, legs, hands, eyes, ears and nose but I have not seen anyone without the head. The head contains the computer that runs the whole body. The head is always on top; therefore God said that your position should be that of the head and not the tail.
·        The tail is close to the anus, closer to excreta.
·        The tail unlike the head has no teeth to defend it.
·        The tail can be cut off without any consequence, this is why some people are removed from their jobs and no one is helping them whereas if the spirit of the head is upon you, it will cause everyone working in that place to be restless until they bring you back to your position

In the University of the tail, there are so many departments but there is something that qualifies a man for that school and until you receive that qualification that is when other things follows and that thing is what the Bible calls ‘attitude’
The secret to a more successful and happy life is not changing you circumstances because sometimes you cannot change it. It is not to control what other people are doing because sometimes you cannot control them also. The secret to a happier and successful life is to change one thing which you have absolute authority. ‘ATTITUDE’

It has been proven that people with positive outlook have a happier and more successful life and they also have greater satisfaction. The reason for this is very simple; your attitude has an incredible power to shape your life; so you have the power to choose your outlook. Negative thinkers will always see negativity; fearful people will always see things that will scare them. That your attitude is the lenses you need to see yourself, people around and the world at large. Negative attitude is what is making so many people to think that they have big and strong enemies around them.

Our attitude controls our lives, it remains the greatest asset but we may not be using it. Therefore if you want to change your life, then, change your attitude. This is the greatest discovery that human beings have found; they found that they can utter their lives by uttering their attitudes because:
v  A positive attitude is your passport for a better tomorrow
v  Your attitude is the window to your world
v  Your attitude determines your actions
v  Your attitude can affect your future positively or negatively
v  Your attitude magnetizes people to you or repels people from you
v  Your attitude is the liberian of your past
v  It is the speaker of your present
v  And it is the prophet of your future.

The power of attitude cannot be over emphasized. You see, knowing Jesus as your Lord and personal savior is the most important thing in life but next to having a positive attitude because that attitude may make or break you. It can make you friends or make you enemies, it can make you happy or make you very miserable, it can make you a success or a failure. Some people think that the world stings and that attitude will make them to fail. The person with the negative attitude will say ‘I cannot do it’ but the person with positive attitude will always say ‘I can do it’

Attitude is practically on everything. If you have a negative attitude you will always dwell on problems, you will always find fault in others while the person with positive attitude will always find something good in the life of another. The person with negative attitude will always look out for what is missing while the person with positive attitude will always be counting his/her blessings. The person with the positive attitude will always see possibilities unlike the person with negative attitude.
Every person that is born into this world comes with mental window but as the person begins to grow, that window becomes very dim or very clear depending on the kind of attitude they have. To be honest to you, nobody can run away from problems; anywhere you run to, you will always meet problems because life itself is a problem.
The story of Paul and Silas is a good example of positive attitude because the Bible says ‘rejoice in the Lord always’. They had every reason to doubt God that sent them to do his work and breakdown into tears but all through the night, they were praising God throughout and the earthquake of the Lord came and deliver them from the prison because of their positive attitude. Negative attitude had caused a lot of problems for people today. When some people are in trouble, they get angry and take unnecessary actions or cry all day. This is because they have negative attitude towards life.
When your attitude is negative towards prayer, heaven puts you in the school of failures because any time you are praying with worry and anxieties in your heart, then you are not praying. Your attitude has impact in the lives of people around you. It is more important than money, your appearance, your education and any other thing in life. It is your attitude that makes you persevere when the going is tough. The difference between the good day and the bad day is your attitude.
I am praying for you right now, every attitude of failure in your life is damaged in the name of Jesus.
Do you know that happiness is an attitude? You either make yourself happy or sad because attitude is always your choice, so it is a decision.
Once you develop a negative attitude, you have written an entrance examination into the school of the tail. So you need to make up your mind to change your attitude and develop a positive attitude.

Close your eyes and pray the following prayers:
1.      Dark arrows fired into my mind, back fire in the name of Jesus.
2.      My soul, return to your resting place in Christ in the mighty name of Jesus

CLOSING EVIL SPIRITUAL DOORS
Message by Pastor Olawole Dahunsi

Text:
Genesis 28:10-19 “And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying, 11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead. 12 And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land. 13 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there. 14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him, 15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead. 16 ¶ And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant. 17 And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure 18 Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.”

Revelation 3:8-9
“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”
 Colossians 4:3
“Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:”
1 Corinthians 16:9
“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.”

What Is a Door?
Ø  A door is a moving structure used in blocking off or allowing access into a place.
Ø  It is an enclosed environment or thing which has an entrance.
Ø  A moving solid barrier for opening or closing a place or thing.
Ø  What is used to restrict or restrain an intruder is called a door.
Ø  Anything that gives access to a thing or person is also called a door.
Ø  A door can be used as a gate too.
Note: there can be physical and spiritual door or gate.
The body has some gates that the enemy or adversary can use to enter into our lives but I pray for you that every door opened in your life shall be closed in Jesus name

Doors that the enemy can use to gain entrance into the body:
1.      Door of the eyes
2.      Door of the ear
3.      Door of the nose
4.      Door of the mouth
5.      Door of the hands
6.      Door of the sexual organ: whenever you engage in sexual activities, a blood covenant is established between the man and woman. Wrong sexual intercourse can open the door for the enemy to come into a man’s life. There was a man who got married and each time he sleeps with his wife, he will get his sexual organ injured like razor blade injuries; so he decided to stay away from his wife for a while until he met with a man of God who told him what to do whenever he wants to sleep with his wife again. This man did as the man of God directed him and his wife finally confessed to him that she has six pythons in her sexual organ that are responsible for all his predicaments and failures in life.
7.      Door of the legs
8.      Door of the body contact: kissing, hand shake or hugging can bring or introduce evil into a man’s life.
9.      Door of the head: this is the reason you must be careful of the hands that are touching your head to avoid opening the door for evil arrows into your head.

How Do You Open Evil Spiritual Doors?
1.      Sin: Ecclesiastics 10:8 “He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” Proverbs 26:27 “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
2.      Disobedience to God’s word: the word of God is a powerful tool in the hand of a child of God but the greatest contamination is disobedience to the word of God.
3.      Faulty foundation
4.      Unbroken covenant and curses: either inherited or self-acquired curses and covenants can bring evil doors in a person’s life.
5.      Evil customs and tradition: for instance when you want to get married and they need to bring an animal for evil rituals, it can open evil door into your life.
6.      Eating polluted food: you need to pray on everything that goes into your mouth before eating.
7.      Visiting/Living in a polluted environment: there are places you will enter even in the library; they are some sections that when you enter there your head will be swollen immediately and when you go ahead to read any book in that section, the book will influence you at night for pollution.
8.      Polluted gifts
9.      Listening to satanic music/watching satanic films and videos: there are music you hear in our society today that will make you to become either aggressive in nature, good or disciplined because music has a way of affecting your life or the brain.
10.   Evil decorations in your house, environment or your body.
11.   Evil association
12.   Indiscipline
13.   The things/materials you wear on your body.

Implications of Evil Spiritual Doors:
1.      It makes your problems to linger
2.      Old problems comes back easily
3.      Satanic strangers will occupy your life- Psalms 18:44-45
4.      Failure, hindrances and embargo will dominate the person’s life
5.      There will be afflictions and hardship
6.      There will be frustration and discouragement
7.       Spiritual life will be limited
8.      Good things will be stolen from the person’s life
9.      There will be frequent sickness
10.   There will be bad dreams: for example-eating and drinking in the dream, having sex in the dream, missing your vehicle in the dream, Etc.

What Is The Way Out?
1.      Repent of your sins
2.      Make restitution where necessary: take away things that are not supposed to be in your body or house.
3.      Pray aggressive prayers, if possible enroll for deliverance in the church.
4.      Examine yourself daily: ask yourself what or whom you had touched, hugged or shacked during the day.
5.      Remove polluted materials from your life.
6.      Ensure you do not open your life/doors to demons: always check what you eat or wear on your body.
Close your eyes at this point and begin to ask God to reveal to you every hidden areas of your life before you pray the following prayers.
Prayer points:
1.      Every evil door; bringing sickness into my life, close in the mighty name of Jesus.
2.      Powers buying and selling in my life; die in Jesus name.
3.      Any power living inside my body; opening doors to the enemies in my life, die
4.      Holy Ghost fire; chase out darkness in my life in Jesus name.
5.      Every good thing that the enemy had stolen from my life; by fire by force, I collect them back in the mighty name of Jesus.
6.      Evil powers occupying the gate of my life; die in the name of Jesus.
7.      Every evil gift that has reduced me to a beggar, catch fire in Jesus name.
8.      Anything that has entered into my life through the environment I went to; Holy Ghost fire, destroy them now in the mighty name of Jesus.
